His work focuses on corporate environments with emphasis on identity development and includes projects for UBS, Chubb Insurance, Unum Insurance, SAP Labs, Tishman Speyer, BBDO Chicago, Ogilvy & Mather, McMaster Carr, Accenture, Avanade and The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. John has worked in the permanent collection at the Chicago Historical Society and has been exhibited at The Art Institute of Chicago. His achievements include the 2000 AIA Design Excellence Award, Interior Magazine 19th Annual Interiors Award for 1998 and the 1997 AIA Citation of Merit. John earned a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a registered architect. He has worked with The Environments Group and Eva Maddox Associates. He has taught design as an adjust faculty member at Columbia College, Chicago. close bio catherine severson | co-founder email: cs@qexperience.com view catherine's bio Catherine Severson is a co-founder of Q Studio with a specialty in interior environments, identity development and color consulting. She has delivered a wide range of projects including workspaces for SAP Labs, UBS, Crate & Barrel and Brinson Foundation; client experience centers for Herman Miller, Unum Insurance and SAP; showrooms for Solutia and Izzy Design. She has provided color consulting services to Joel Berman Glass and Bentley Prince Street. Catherine lectures frequently on the subject of color and identity, has conducted Neocon seminars and published numerous articles on the use of color in the built environment. Over the past four years she has acted as a juror for Best of Neocon with Contract Magazine. Her work has been published in Interior Design and Contract Magazine, and her achievements include Best of Neocon showroom Design Awards for 2000 and 2002, AIA Excellence Award for 2002 and the 2000 DuPont Design Award. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Iowa State University and studied color and human response with The American Information Center for Color and the Environment.
